Online, on campus, or both?
Nursing courses may be taken in one of two ways: completely online or in a low residency format. The low residency format offers the majority of each course online for flexibility enhanced by on-campus meetings once a month on the first Thursday. Non-nursing courses are offered online.
Fall 2015-Spring 2016 Tuition & Fees
Full or Part-time RN-BSN Tuition - Cost per credit: $406.25 per credit, flat rate with no additional fees.
Entrance Requirements
Admission to SVC’s RN to BSN program requires an active, unencumbered US RN license. A minimum GPA of 2.8 is required. Up to 64 credits are accepted from the student’s ADN degree program.
Credits
Transfer Credits from Associate Degree in Nursing: maximum 64 credits; General Core and Science Requirements: 28; Nursing Major Core Requirements: 28; Total credits: 128.
Total Length of Program
Courses are offered in the Fall, Spring and Summer semesters. Students may complete the program in 4 semesters but may choose to take as long as five years from matriculation into the program.
Time Commitment
The RN-BSN track may be completed on a part-time or full-time basis. Low-residency courses combine the advantages of online learning with the opportunity for face-to-face interaction on the first Thursday of each month. This consistent, predictable schedule allows working RNs to plan well in advance for their on-campus days.
